Closure due to COVID19
A message from Journey:
Peace and Love Loc Family!
It is my duty to protect my lockers during this uncertain time.
Thanks for the ongoing support and trusting in me. I will accept lockers when it is safe.
I appreciate your patience and overstanding my position as a licensed business owner.
Due to the government, the risk of contracting & spreading the corona virus and the risk of losing my business & license, I am practicing social distancing.
So when this is over, I am still able to conduct business.
I went as long as I could.
Knowing that you all are safe is all that matters to me.
If I continue to work with the many lockers that I am blessed to have, it is a greater risk for all of you.
I appreciate you all for trusting in me & booking with me through this, but I Will be refunding those that made deposits.
Please contact me directly at: 404-719-8779 if you have not received a refund.
Locs mean a lot to me and you could not imagined the separation anxiety from you and your Journeys.
However I will take this time for self care & to protect all of us from my end.
It would be selfish, greedy and unsafe to continue locking.
I will be offering free tutorials on loc care while I keep you all protected from my end.
Please stay tuned and keep your Locs clean & covered.
I am available for free consultations 7 days a week from 10a - 8p.
The best way to contact me is by calling me directly at 404-719-8779.
How to maintain your own locs
I know that some of my lockers like their locks neat & maintained, but just keep your locs clean by washing weekly, staying product free and keeping your locs covered.
Remember not to cause tension to your Locs, add products to your Locs, and refrain from over twisting.
I’ve taught you guys a lot about Locs & I have info on my website & IG for you to refer to anytime.
I will be offering more detailed content daily on my website and my IG @locsbyjourney
Along with the following tutorials:
“how to wash your locs,” how to moisturize your locs,” & “journey’s holistic retwist”
Remember not to cause tension to your Locs, add products to your Locs, and refrain from over twisting/manipulation.
The Alternative
Although I want my lockers to be patient, I understand that everybody may not want to semi free-form like myself.
Still getting maintenance during this time? Here are a Few tips of precaution. Make sure the salon you go to is very clean, make sure you see the stylist wipe down the bowl and chair, do not allow them to put a cape on you, make sure the person is wearing GLOVES (throughout the entire process), take your own towel or make sure their towels are clean or brand new, if they’re sneezing and or coughing several times, leave.
Make sure you see them wash their hands.
You wearing a mask is also good.
Remember not to cause tension to your Locs, add products to your Locs, and refrain from over twisting.
I would not recommend anyone being rough with your crown, using products, too much heat, tension, tight styles or allowing a new person to interlock you or repair your locs.
Too many hands and different techniques will damage your locs. Different energies as well.
Be mindful lockers. Locs is a lifestyle, not a hairstyle.
Only deal with experienced individuals with education when it comes to Locs.
Good energy only, do your research.
All the best,
the loc journey
